About “Not My Mother’s Kitchen”

styer2When my parents first got married, my mother used to prepare a Swanson’s frozen TV dinner for my dad when he came home from work and her culinary point of view really did change much for the next 20 years. “Not My Mother’s Kitchen” began from my search to find my own point of view when it came to cooking. At the time, I was living in Center City Philadelphia with my boyfriend (now husband) and learning to cook in 2 ft. by 4 ft. kitchen with no counter space. Over those four years, I wove new cooking experiments with old childhood food stories. There’s still a lot to say about food and cooking, but “Not My Mother’s Kitchen” is evolving to life outside the kitchen as well.
